Acrylic Paintings on Canvas and Paper
Influenced by the turbulence of weather and nature as experienced in decades of competitive sailboat racing, Kleidon created these paintings inspired by the violence of wind and water. Motion, action and uncertainty come into play as one views these paintings, but in the end, composition and order provide a calming influence. His life in the Sonoran Desert has also encouraged a choice of colors often seen in Native American cultures. The motion of the dance, the action of the waves and the violence of the wind are all seen in an integration of dynamic excitement.
